PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
Target audience
Participants will be selected through an open call for applications, aimed at people aged 18 and over who live or work in the Azores. Applicants should fit the following profile: professionals or amateurs with experience in the fields of music, DJing, VJing, set design, performance, event promotion and organisation, show production, lighting and sound design, content creation, artistic programming, visual artists, and professionals involved in providing care and support services at raves and parties. During the selection process, priority will be given to those with original ideas, a desire to develop cultural and artistic projects, or those seeking training in the project’s areas of focus.
The call for applications will establish a multidisciplinary working group that will undergo a process of training and artistic guidance, with the ultimate goal of creating and presenting an artistic project as part of the Tremor festival. To this end, participants must be available to take part in all online and in-person sessions.
Participation in Ciclo is free of charge, although participants must arrange their own access to workspaces and training facilities, as well as cover their own meals. During the project’s implementation at the Tremor Festival, participants will receive executive production support from the team.
Application process
Those interested in taking part in this year’s edition of Ciclo must apply via the open call for applications, which runs from September 14th to October 6th. Applications can be submitted by completing the form provided here.
Applications must include a letter of motivation and a proposal or idea for a project that applicants would like to develop within this collective context. The project submitted must fall into one of the following categories:
A project rooted in rave culture, which may intersect with other arts and artistic expressions;
A project that should take the form of a party, lasting approximately 3 hours;
A project that is appropriate, feasible and realistic in terms of the human, technical and financial capacity of the project;
A project that should take place in a venue or venues to be determined in Ribeira Grande, or in another city.
Participants will be selected by a jury comprising the artistic coordination team of Ciclo and two members of the Artistic Board of the Tremor Festival. Should it prove necessary, the jury reserves the right to request further information from applicants.
