For people who have yet to experience Tremor and are considering dipping their toe in the festival, the first question to leave their mouth is: “Is it true that you went to see a concert on another island?”. Not only is this true, but the aforementioned concert was a concert by the shamans of Brazilian tropic-neo-psychedelic, Boogarins, in the humble bandstand in Vila do Porto (on the island of Santa Maria), right before everyone went to eat a turnip broth and biscoitos de orelha. Laurinda Sousa, the Mariense who helped organize this adventure, remembers this day in 2018:
«My most vivid memory is that, even before the concert, the bus that had come from the airport stopped at Poço da Pedreira and it was a wonderful day and all you could hear was the sound of frogs. And, as people got off the bus, the crowd started sitting on the grass, all in silence, just to hear that ambient sound. They were in an almost ecstatic state. On the other hand, I also remember how difficult it was for people to leave to go watch the concert because nobody really wanted to leave. This trip to Santa Maria will always be remembered as one of the greatest mad and challenging things Tremor has done.»
