Selva Coragem is an original project of interdisciplinary creation, with a strong BIOinstallation component. Through an open call directed at the local community, it will develop, in residence, a community garden that will occupy a devitalized space in the city of Ponta Delgada.
With the aim of reconnecting people and places through a collaborative process, Selva Coragem articulates concepts of sound art, dramaturgical writing and architecture, with perspectives on sustainability, biodiversity and life quality within the urban fabric.
SELVA CORAGEM is a project by TEATRO DO FRIO.
Teatro do Frio – Pesquisa Teatral do Norte (TdFrio), is an artistic collective formed in 2005, in the regional context of the North of Portugal. It arises with the purpose of privileging the research space 'in' and 'from' theatrical creation, with a statutorily rooted desire for disciplinary crossing. Conceiving artistic creation as a form of interpersonal dialogue, it promotes the intersection between creators, researchers and artistic and epistemological practices in a wide network of artists, creative collectives, research centers, programming spaces and mediation programs.
It values in its processes the transgenerationality and multidisciplinarity of the teams, relating generations and artistic languages, in an exercise of sharing and updating knowledge and experiences. It promotes professional development through specialized training.
In the search for resonances between artists, culture agents and audiences, it deepens practical thinking with the services of educational action, participation and mediation of partner cultural agents.
The installation can be visited until the 1st of April, between 12h00 and 22h00.
