The constant search for collaborations that investigate the intersection of music with other languages, technologies and knowledge, is one of the axes that characterise Tremor's programming. This year, the epitome of this search will certainly be the meeting between producer Nik Colk Void and digital artist Mathieu Le Sourd.
The first, known for her multiple explorations and collaborations in the most experimental branches of electronics, has been creating a body of work that stands out for its unconventional encounters. Talented singer and guitarist, Void employs modular systems, cut-up sampling and extended techniques to create an entirely new language inspired by techno, club, and noise.
Mathieu Le Sourd, also known as Maotik, focuses on creating immersive environments, interactive installations, digital sculptures and audiovisual performances that play in the lines of intersection between art, science and technology. Using algorithms and other mathematical constructions, Maotik operates live graphic elements, with the aim of creating multisensory experiences that redefine the way we perceive and read the environments that surround us.
