Variety artist, creative mind, actor, approachable idol and now an expert dancer, Wandson Lisboa has been the true ambassador of the Azores-Maranhão transatlantic relations. The Azoreans took the Festas do Divino to Maranhão, Wandson brought the the power of friendship, first as part of Antena 3's entourage and now as a friend of the festival. His first visit to Tremor went like this:
«I had never been to the Azores before and I hadn't travelled in 6 years, so I was very nervous to go there to work with Antena 3. But when I got off the plane, the smell of the island of São Miguel was enough to remind me of my island’s smell, São Luís do Maranhão. And because I missed that smell, I turned to Ana Markl and Paulo Castelo and started to cry. That same year, I went to see a rehearsal by the Rabo de Peixe School of Music and, I can't explain how, but that brought me even closer to my own community in São Luís: the heat, the summer clothes, seeing the children so happy in the theatre playing the drum, having Samuel (a student from the music school) sending kisses to Maranhão. All of this became more meaningful in terms of what the island, the festival and even my proximity to my community in Maranhão meant to me.»
