Competing with Filipe Caetano and Rui Rofino for the position of veteran with more editions of Tremor in his pocket, Cristóvão Ferreira is already the grand piano of the house when it comes to festival residencies. In addition to a concert that made the ceiling collapse at Arco 8, Cristóvão chose the opening concert of Tremor 2017 as one of the most special of his almost decade of being a part of the festival. In a clip that went viral on the internet and having had the blessing of his godfather himself, Sandro G, Cristóvão recaptures memories of this concert at the Rabo de Peixe Music School:
«I remember this day perfectly because there were local people, people from Rabo-de-Peixe, attending this concert. Their astonishment was visible, because even though they know that the Music School exists, they don't know very well what happens inside the four walls of the Cine-teatro Miramar. For the first time, those people saw their children playing music with adults, playing Sandro G, and, in what they perceive to be a concert with “outsiders”, you could see the sparkle in those parents’ eyes. On that day, what their children had been doing in that theater every Saturday finally made sense to many parents.»
