A mere amount of 15 minutes is what stopped the ¾ Hostel from hosting Tremor’s #1 opening event (the first concert in the festival's history was Jiboia da Mãe, at Galeria Fonseca Macedo, and, right after, we had Gonçalo playing right across the street). However, ¾ (which is now a coffeeshop) has become a sort of Tremor headquarters, to gather troops, feed people, and even house Turkish DJ sets. Catarina Ferreira and Ana Pedro, the founders of ¾, give us a taste of the memories they kept from feeding the first edition of the festival:
«In the first year of the festival, we had barely opened the ¾ Hostel and the people from Tremor were already asking us if we could do the catering, despite not having any money, poor things. But we immediately said yes, going along with the madness of it. That year, meals were served in the hostel's small room. We had to cook at Ana Pedro's house, and we'd go down the street carrying pans and trays because the hostel didn't even have an oven or stove. All of that was worth it, it was the start of something that we already knew was going to be amazing.»
