Neuza Furtado is a Portuguese songwriter of Cape Verdean origin, based in the Azores, whose music is intimate, sensitive, and deeply emotional. Her voice is central, serving as a tool for expression, memory, and human connection. Her sound blends the emotional intensity of fado and the expressiveness of flamenco with experimental landscapes, hinting at progressive rock influences. Her music is hybrid, genre-defying, and prioritizes atmosphere, silence, time, and imperfection. Neuza’s original songs are conceived for live performance, creating intimate concerts that encourage deep listening, exploring vulnerability, collective presence, and feminine experiences.
