In 2026, in co-production with PDL26 – Portuguese Capital of Culture, Mini Tremor transforms into a full-day festival: FESTIVALzim!. The first edition will take place on March 21st 2026, across several venues in the Historic Centre of Ponta Delgada and at the Portas do Mar Pavilion.
After a decade in which Mini Tremor proved to be a public success with strong popular demand, this family-oriented programme gains a prominent new format, offering a programme of artistic enjoyment and close-up participation, featuring a line-up of regional, national and international artists.
The programme places special emphasis on musical and sensory activities, values local knowledge and creates intergenerational meeting spaces through concerts, performing arts shows, workshops, interactive installations and games for everyone. A full day of experiences, discovery, learning and wonder. A day to turn Ponta Delgada upside down. A day to move through landmark heritage spaces and spark new crossings and memories within families and the wider community. These will be playful, participatory and interactive moments that foster personal development.
FESTIVALzim! nurtures awareness of and interest in artistic creation and enjoyment from the earliest years of life. It proposes a democratic space of encounter and belonging, where parents, children and families can experience artistic and cultural proposals together. It addresses ecology, social justice, the importance of community and democracy, supports the development of new audiences, and gives space to local creators and emerging talent.
Access to FESTIVALzim! is free of charge, with the exception of activities that require prior registration.
The full programme will be announced during the month of February.
