The festival’s resident band, the Rabo de Peixe School of Music, joins this year’s edition alongside Itiberê Zwarg—one of the leading figures in Brazilian instrumental music, with a distinguished career as a bassist, composer, arranger, and educator. Since 1977, he has been a member of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal & Grupo, with whom he has toured across several continents. Founder of the Itiberê Orquestra Família, he is a reference in the practice of Música Universal and a renowned educator whose methodology has inspired generations of musicians in Brazil and abroad.
