Welsh multidisciplinary artist and producer Cate Le Bon has built a body of work that consistently defies categorisation, shaping sound through abstraction, texture, and emotional depth. Across six albums, including “Reward” and “Pompeii”, she has refined a singular voice that balances surrealism and sculptural precision. Her production work — from Wilco’s “Cousin” to Horsegirl’s “Phonetics On and On” and St. Vincent’s “All Born Screaming” — reflects a trusted ability to craft intimate sonic worlds.

Born in rural Carmarthenshire and now based in Cardiff, Le Bon’s sound has evolved through close collaborations with Samur Khouja and Euan Hinshelwood. Her seventh album, “Michelangelo Dying”, emerges from a place of emotional vulnerability, unfolding as a layered meditation on love, loss, and the unknowable self.
