aya is a musician from the Pennine region of the North Atlantic, whose practice centres on the relationship between experience, memory and the body. Drawing together soundsystem culture, delocalised internet scenes and post-hardcore lament, she forges stark, hybrid sound sculptures. She has released music on labels including Hyperdub and Tri Angle. Following her acclaimed debut “im hole” (2021), she released “hexed!” in 2025, further cementing her reputation through powerful live and DJ performances.
