The festival TREMOR has been distinguished with the Excellence Award – Entity of the Year at this year’s edition of the Iberian Festival Awards, one of the most important professional gatherings for the festival industry in the Iberian Peninsula.

The distinction is granted directly by the APORFEST – Associação Portuguesa de Festivais de Música and recognises an organisation that has had a particularly significant impact on the development of the sector. Rather than focusing on a single project from a specific year, the award highlights sustained trajectories and structural contributions to the evolution, professionalisation and international visibility of the festival ecosystem in Portugal and Spain.

By awarding this distinction to TREMOR, the organisation acknowledges the festival’s role in advancing innovative approaches to music programming, highlighting the Azores as a platform for cultural creation, and fostering connections between artists, communities and music industry professionals.

The Iberian Festival Awards have become one of the main meeting points for the festival industry in the Iberian Peninsula. The ceremony brings together promoters, artists, agents, technicians and institutions from across the sector, serving as a space for peer recognition, professional networking and increased visibility for projects shaping the live music landscape in the region. This year's ceremony was held in ponta Delgada.
