Boca Cheia is a project that brings together history, oral tradition, and gastronomy, offering a guided tour of Vila Verde, a traditional 19th-century Azorean farm, followed by a tasting prepared by the hosts. It's a journey between the past and the present, providing a connection with the local culture and flavors, particularly the shiitake mushrooms produced on the farm.
Activity Description:
The meeting point is in the parish garden, where participants will be welcomed by the hosts, who will provide headphones for each guest.
From there, the group is invited on a discovery walk through the farm, accompanied by an audio narration that shares the site's history and reflections on the island’s agricultural traditions.
At the end of the visit, guests will enjoy a tasting lunch, including a starter with homemade pâtés, mushroom pie, and salad, followed by dessert. Drinks include tea, flavored water, and a glass of white or red wine.
