Associação Cultural Plutão Camaleão, the organization behind the Tremor Festival, and APF-Açores/(A)MAR-Açores pela Diversidade are once again joining forces in 2026 to strengthen their commitment to promoting safer, more inclusive, and discrimination-free nightlife environments. This partnership is once again embodied in the “Tremor Seguro” initiative, through which the organizations provide specialized support during the festival.
At the heart of the operation will be the physical presence of a specialized team at the Pavilhão das Portas do Mar, one of the main hubs of the festival’s program in Ponta Delgada. The APF-Açores/(A)MAR-Açores pela Diversidade team will be available to provide immediate support in situations related to harassment, discrimination, or violence based on gender or sexual orientation, as well as offering assistance and referrals for potential victims.
The initiative is part of the festival’s safety plan, which includes support and reporting mechanisms, safe spaces, staff training, and coordination with local entities that respond to crisis situations. The collaboration between the two organizations is grounded in the promotion of human rights and the defense of the right to non-discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and sex characteristics, contributing to a safer cultural experience for everyone.
During the 2026 edition of Tremor, the #TremorSeguro team will be present at the Pavilhão das Portas do Mar on the following days and times:
March 25: 9:30 PM to 2:00 AM;
March 26: 9:15 PM to 2:00 AM;
March 27: 9:30 PM to 4:00 AM;
March 28: 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
In addition to this physical support point, members of the organization, security staff, firefighters, and bar teams will also be prepared to respond to and refer to situations of harassment or violence, ensuring a quick and coordinated response.
