After electronic experiments based on the oral heritage of the Azores, with O Experimentar Na M'Incomoda, and the first steps as a composer and producer within the Portuguese group Medeiros/Lucas, Pedro Lucas began, in 2021, a new journey with the composition, writing, and interpretation of  his own songs. After his debut album, In Between, Lucas is preparing to release Villains & Chieftains, a record that revolves around urbanity. Here, the clashes and interpersonal encounters portrayed in the first LP leap from the sphere of personal intimacy to the social sphere of the city. Musically, the songs feature more openly Anglo-Saxon melodies and harmonic arrangements. The jazzy influences remain, looking for new spaces in a production that steps into the worlds of classic pop. A sonic palette influenced by the group of musicians that accompany Lucas in performances: João Hasselberg on electric bass, João Sousa on drums, and Pedro Branco on electric guitar. Performing at Tremor is a homecoming.
